  Some rescue stories begin with a moment that is impossible to ignore. For animal rescuer  Silvia , that moment arrived with a single photograph. Early one morning, she received an image that immediately made her stop. In the photo was a tiny puppy lying weak and exhausted after being found on the street. Her body looked fragile, her ribs faintly visible beneath her fur, and her eyes dull with exhaustion. It was clear she had been suffering for a long time.
