For three days, the world was a place of shadows and agony for a tiny, nameless puppy.

After being struck by a reckless driver, she was left exactly where she fell. No one stopped. To the hundreds of people driving past, she was just another tragic detail on the roadside. But while the human world turned a blind eye, one soul never left her side: her mother.
